This policy explains how information is handled through the Partners in Research tribute website at partnersinresearch.ca.

Stories and contact details

The “Share your PIR story” form asks for an email address, an optional name, your story and permission to respond. Please share only information you are comfortable sending to the site editor. Do not include confidential records or sensitive personal details about yourself or other people.

Your submission is used to review your contribution, respond to you and discuss possible additions to the historical archive. Submitting a story does not automatically publish it or grant permission to publish your name or words. The editor will ask separately before publishing identifiable contributions.

Where submissions go

The form is configured to send an email notification to the site administrator and collect submissions through the site’s 10Web form service. Hosting, form and email providers process information as part of delivering and maintaining these services. Form notifications also include the submission date, time, page URL, browser information and IP address.

Technical information and cookies

Hosting systems may process technical information needed to operate and protect the website. WordPress and related services can use functional cookies, including for administrator sessions. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. External websites linked from this archive have their own privacy practices.

Access, retention and your choices

Submissions are intended for private editorial review. Information is kept only as long as needed to respond, manage contributions and meet applicable requirements. You may ask to access, correct or remove a submission, or withdraw permission for future use, by contacting the editor. Information already published elsewhere or retained in service backups may require additional time or steps to address.

Young contributors

If you are under the age of majority, please ask a parent or guardian to contact the editor on your behalf. Avoid including children’s names, photographs or identifying details in a submission without the appropriate permission.
